"I've been going to Puglia fir over 40 years since my grandparents are from Putignano, but this was the first time I really walked around Monopoli. It's a very nice city, nice beaches and super friendly people. "

"A very beautiful city with a lot of potential, where we felt safe. The main unusual, disappointing, but fixable things: none of the public beaches have toilets, fresh water showers, changing cabins (these issues have long been resolved on public beaches in Western, Central, Eastern, Northern Europe), it made you feel like you went back in time several decades. There is quite a lot of garbage on the beaches and streets."

"This was our second visit to Monopoli and we are already planning on returning next year. We love the energy and friendliness of the town and it's varied shops, bars and restaurants. The town is spotless and safe."

"Vorrei vedere le spiagge e le strade, soprattutto quelle del centro storico, piu' pulite, c'e' molta plastica ovunque ( vedi scogli di Cala Cozze o Porto bianco, cosi' come il Bastione di San Domenico e il Giardino del Fossato, - che sembrano una pattumiera, o anche le stesse Mura di cinta - Bastione di Santa Maria). L'anno scorso ho trovato la citta' molto piu pulita e ben curata:("

"Unfortunately there was a lot of trash on the beaches near the city centre. But otherwise, we felt safe, and happy and really enjoyed our stay and would love to return."
