"We had a great time in Monopoli but a car is really needed. Also the tourist tax seems a bit odd given it isnt in other parts of Puglia where we visited."

"We found Monopoli quite dirty, including some of the lovely calas where there were littering - sad that such beautiful swimming areas are littered. The unit where we stayed was brilliant and pristine. "
